Tortilis - Day 2 AM (Another Flamingo Special)

Rather bleary eyed we made our way up the steep hill to the bar area about 0515 and some kind soul kindly produced tea and coffee for us.  Dickson arrived just before 0530 and we set off in the dark towards the general direction of the airstrip.  It was quite cold at that time of the morning, although not as cold as the Mara, and we were glad to wrap ourselves in Masai blankets.

As with the elephants, these were taken in chronological order with very little post processing but I'm using two cameras/lenses which cope with light in different ways, hence very different results at times.

There was very little light at first so I let my camera do its own thing.

ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) is a craze these days however this was completely unintentional, I just forgot how quickly flamingo move around.

It's impossible to convey the sheer number of birds.

Unfortunately the clouds were rolling in and obscuring the snow capped peak.
