The plan
- Fly Heathrow to Nairobi
- Overnight Tamarind Tree Hotel, Nairobi
- 3 nights Tortilis Camp, Amboseli (2)
- 3 nights Kicheche Laikipia Camp (3)
- 3 nights Kicheche Bush Camp, Masai Mara (4)
- Back to Nairobi and onwards to Heathrow
We've stayed at both Tortilis and Kicheche Bush before and thoroughly enjoyed both of them. We only had 2 nights at Tortilis last time and both felt that there was enough to see to warrant an extra day.
The weather may be a slight problem though as the November/December "short rains" didn't come as usual (they haven't been reliable for a few years now) and although there are near drought conditions in many areas, the weather forecasts we've seen for the areas we're visiting show quite a lot of rain and thunderstorms.
